After weeks of delays and mounting frustration among SEOs, Google has now fully updated the Page Indexing report in Google Search Console. As of December 15, 2025, the report data has caught up and reflects the current indexing status of sites once again.
We can confirm this update with the majority of our 1.500 customers.

The issue first surfaced in early December when users noticed that the Page Indexing report was lagging by nearly two weeks. At the same time, the Performance reports in Search Console were also affected, showing delays of more than 30 hours instead of the usual few hours.
While some short progress was visible during the first days of the incident, the reports repeatedly stalled again, prompting widespread discussion across LinkedIn and X.
Throughout the delay, Google did not confirm a specific cause but indicated that it was working on the issue. As with previous incidents of this kind, the company emphasized indirectly that the problem was limited to reporting and did not affect actual indexing, crawling, ranking, or visibility in Google Search results.
By mid December, users began reporting that the Page Indexing report had resumed updating normally. As of December 15, the data is now fully refreshed and aligned with real time indexing status. The Performance report has also returned to its usual update cadence.
For SEOs and site owners, the resolution confirms that the delay was a reporting bug rather than a technical issue impacting websites. While such disruptions are not uncommon in Google Search Console, the length of this delay made it particularly noticeable.
At the time of writing, Google has not published a formal post mortem or detailed explanation. However, based on current data, Search Console reporting appears to be functioning normally again.
