Finance Specialist

The role
Finance Operations (60%)
- Accounts payable processing: invoice receipt, coding, approval workflows, payment execution
- Accounts receivable management: invoice generation, collections follow-up, aging monitoring
- Exact Online data entry and maintenance: ensuring accurate, timely bookkeeping inputs
- Bank reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies
- Expense management and policy compliance
- Vendor and supplier relationship management
- Support month-end close activities
Process & Systems (25%)
- Liaise with external accountant on bookkeeping questions and VAT filings
- Support quote-to-cash implementation and ongoing operations
- Document and improve financial processes as you learn them
- Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
- Maintain organized financial records and audit trails
Growth Path (15%)
- Gradually take ownership of external accountant relationship
- Learn SaaS revenue recognition and multi-entity accounting
- Support financial reporting and analysis as capabilities develop
- Prepare for expanded Controller responsibilities over 18–24 months

What we're looking for
- At least 2 years of experience within finance related roles
- Hands on transactional experience (AP/AR, Reconciliations, ERP Systems, etc.)
- Have strong accounting foundations
- Meticulous and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Dutch and English
Ideal candidates will also have
- Accounting qualifications (RA track, HBO Accountancy) or in progress
- Experience with Exact Online or similar mid-market ERP
- Multi-entity or international company experience
- SaaS or subscription business exposure
- Experience in high-growth or scale-up environment
- Familiarity with Dutch VAT and statutory requirements
